The San Lorenzo eco-reforestation and environmental restoration project is located close to the Costa Rican border with Nicaragua, in Puerto Soley – Bahía Salinas, in La Cruz county, Guanacaste province.
This project is just 1.5 km from the Bahia Salinas region, on the Costa Rican Pacific coast, very close to the Guanacaste Conservation Area, which, at 150,000 hectares, is the largest and most notable example of environmental restoration of its kind in the world. Several national parks are located within its borders.
San Lorenzo is just one hour from the International Airport at Liberia.
This region, together with southeast Nicaragua, forms a beautiful landscape of volcanos and beaches complete with important national parks.
